Reef Check Malaysia
Reef Check Malaysia works to conserve Malaysia's ocean and marine ecosystems. Our Projects are based in 3 locations in Malaysia - Tioman Island, Mersing group of islands, and Mantanani Island. Our teams are based on these islands, where they work with the local communities to empower them to look after the marine resources.
The Borneo Project
The upper Baram River Basin is the largest area of unprotected primary forest in Sarawak, containing dozens of species threatened with extinction. To protect the area from logging and palm oil, indigenous communities will survey flora and fauna, learn agroforestry practices, reforest logged areas, develop green jobs, and continue advocating for land rights and forest protection.
Liberty to Learn Berhad
The Youth Leadership Program (YLP) will enable refugee youth living in Malaysia to become leaders in their community, through transformative peer to peer training. Using a human-centered design approach, YLP builds the soft skills of young refugees, boosting their capacities to identify and solve the challenges their communities face.
Wings Melaka
Wings Melaka works closely with the families of children with learning disabilities - parents learn alongside their children in our Early Intervention Programme and are further empowered through parent support groups and access to a well-stocked toy and resource library.
